Old favorites

Yesterday I got the pleasure of introducing a new friend to an old favorite.  We hopped in the car and took a cruise down north oak.  The building doesn’t look like much from the outside, but one inside, you are hit with the intoxicating smell of fried food.  Yes friends, we were at in a tub.

In a tub is a famous Northland staple.  For years, my family has enjoyed their unique tex mex fare.  On this particular trip, we enjoyed tacos and fried mushrooms.  We both chose the meat and cheese tacos with extra hot sauce.

The tacos are filled with beef and cheese, clipped, deep fried, then filled with lettuce and topped with powdered cheese (similar to Kraft mac and cheese powder).  The mushrooms are battred and deep fried to golden perfection.  We left full and satiated.

My recommendation is to take a drive down north oak, and try some for yourself.  You can thank me later.
